Department Profile

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering was established in 2013. The departments have grown excellently in academic and research work since B.E (CSE), Programme is offered in the department. The department also encourages innovative projects and quality research in various interrelated domains. The department is actively involved in sponsored research projects and consultancy services. The department is involved in major research on which faculty members and students work on several areas such as Networks, Database, Theoretical Computer Science, Multimedia, Image Processing, Software Engineering, Data Mining, Big Data, Machine Learning and Internet of Things. The students bring many laurels by participating and winning many National & State level awards for their contribution. The students from CSE Dept got placed in Multi national companies like Infosys, wipro, TCS, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, Chainsys-corp etc

PROGRAM SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES (PSOs)

  • To analyze, design and develop computing solutions by applying foundational concepts of Computer Science and Engineering.
  • To apply software engineering principles and practices for developing quality software for scientific and business applications.
  • To adapt to emerging Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) to innovate ideas and solutions to existing/novel problems.

PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

  • To enable graduates to pursue higher education and research, or have a successful career in industries associated with Computer Science and Engineering, or as entrepreneurs.
  • To ensure that graduates will have the ability and attitude to adapt to emerging technological changes.

PROGRAM OUTCOMES POs

Engineering Graduates will be able to:

  1. Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals and an engineering specialization to the solution of complex engineering problems.
  2. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, review research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  3. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for the public health and safety, and the cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.
  4. Conduct investigations of complex problems: Use research-based knowledge and research methods including design of experiments, analysis and interpretation of data, and synthesis of the information to provide valid conclusions.
  5. Modern tool usage: Create, select, and apply appropriate techniques, resources, and modern engineering and IT tools including prediction and modeling to complex engineering activities with an understanding of the limitations.
  6. The engineer and society: Apply reasoning informed by the contextual knowledge to assess societal, health, safety, legal and cultural issues and the consequent responsibilities relevant to the professional engineering practice.
  7. Environment and sustainability: Understand the impact of the professional engineering solutions in societal and environmental contexts, and demonstrate the knowledge of, and need for sustainable development.
  8. Ethics: Apply ethical principles and commit to professional ethics and responsibilities and norms of the engineering practice.

LAB FACILITIES

The Department is well equipped with the state of the art computing and internet facility with 200 Mbps Networking Speed and is eminent with fully networked laboratories. The laboratories are manifested with more systems and Servers with Dual Core Processors with multimedia kit connected via LAN system with the latest technological configuration. There are also other facilities in the labs which include audio-visual, printers and scanners that are used by the students for lecture sessions and presentations. The computer systems are installed with all the academic software for conducting the laboratory courses prescribed in the syllabus.
